Domino Day 2006
Nov. 17th, 2006 11:30 pmDomino Day
I've just spent three frigging hours in front of the tv, biting my nails for that Dutch guy and his international team of builders (from 9 countries!), hoping that they'll manage to set the new record.
Well, they have. It was a close call, especially after they've failed the first three challenges - a lot of domino stones were left standing. But the effects and iamges were spectacular, the music and the atmosphere were great, and in the end, they had, indeed, a new record with four million, seven hundred thousand and whatnot stones.
The topic this year was music, from Mozart through disco fever and rock&roll to hip-hop, and they did incredible things. The six metres high tower and the skyscrapers in Gangsters' Paradise were just the tip of the iceberg.
Congratulations!
