Just for the heck of it. My real name brought a handful of hits in three categories: as a translator of spiritual literature for the Benedictines, as a once-member of the Hungarian Star Trek Club and as a member of our school's teacher college.

I was surprised that so few people with the same name came up. There are a lot, it's not such a rare name, after all. But the lady potter beat us all in importance. *g*

The funny thing is, when we were kids (she's two years younger than I), we used to live very near to each other. The kid's healthcare centre mixed up our papers all the time, but we never actually met.

Note: I forgot that I was also mentioned as a translator for "Galaktika", a Hungarian sci-fi magazine.

LOL! I do that every once in a while. I tend to get pages and pages of stuff -- turns out my first name and last name spelled the way I spell them are quite common in other parts of the world, just not together.

Alas, most of the people I come up with are very impressive and make me feel very small and a bit worthless. :-P

My first name, as it turned out to my surprise a few years ago, is the name of a type of Euclyptus tree, so a search including my first name always turns up lost of resorts and camp grounds and national forests in Australia.

How interesting. I bet I'd get nothing..got such a weird real name no one's ever heard of it. But I'll try one day.

Well, my harpy aunt had your first name as her middle name - but she was not the person you'd want to have anything in common with. *g*

That's ok, everyone has a harpy aunt somewhere, you know.
Actually, I do know I share the name of an Island with my real name. I must find out where the Island is one day.

You're quite modest - I Google myself whenever I'm bored :). Most of the hits for my full name are me, but I apparently have at least two exact namesakes who do very different stuff.
