You could always try the Ms Scribe method - become a BNF through the stragetic use of sockpuppets ;)
It doesn't seem a waste to have your fic gathered in one place, though, even if not many people are following it on a regular basis. You still have a convenient place to which to direct people. (Admittedly I'm talking randomly here, since I don't know those fandoms or what's going on in them.)
