I've removed some of the sci-fi stuff from [livejournal.com profile] hiddenrealms, as I intent to turn it back to its original purpose: to be a place where original fantasy and horror fic will be posted. The sci-fi stories will all go to [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib eventually. I'll only keep the chapters where I happened to get comments... there won't be too many, but still, feedback is feedback and must be appreciated.

Aside from that, it's still frigging hot. I hope we'll get the satellite guys place our sat dish back to its original place next week. At the moment, five meters of the antennae are hanging into our kitchen, so that we can't close the window. *sigh*

I'm watching entirely too much TV and doing entirely too little writing at the moment, but the heat makes me unable to think. I'm dabbling in various fandoms, with various unfinished stories, but nothing worth mentioning. And there are less than four weeks from the big summer holidays left. Damn it.

We're melting here too. It's too hot to enjoy the summer!

The annoying part is that now I'd have the time to do things I actually enjoy - and am unable to. *grrrrrrrrrrr*

I understand the difficulty of trying to sit down to write (or sew or do some needed reorganizing or any of those other things I planned to do this summer).

We, too, are being Very Hot this summer. We had blessed relief yesterday evening - still humid, but a cool breeze. But the heat is climbing today, and by tomorrow, we and much of the Northeastern US will be under a Heat Advisory (which includes such advice as not leaving children or animals in parked cars... scary that folks need to be reminded about that, eh?). Supposed to last a couple days.

Hang in there!

Oh, and good luck with "realigning" your sites. I'm amazed how well you keep track of all of them - I feel like I'm forever forgetting something with the handful for which I am at least partly responsible... which you ALSO take care of. Very impressive!

Well, it needs to be done, or else I relly *would* lose track of them. By removing sci-fi from [livejournal.com profile] hiddenrealms, that community could be made available for horror fic *and* original stuff, for which you were loking for a home.

LJ has some very useful tools for organizing an archive. Both the tags and the memories make it easy to group entries according to topic. For my part, I always make an index page for each fandom and each story, and cross-linking makes it easy for the reader to navigate. Even I can manage to do it, so it shouldn't be a problem for anyone else.
