Still sweltering...
Jun. 20th, 2024 08:06 pmToday wasn't much cooler - only one degree down, but 32°C is still too much for me. Especially as I had to do the food shopping. I took off at 7.30 in the morning, got home around 9, helped Mum with her morning routine, and shortly before 10 we left again: she for the playground right next to our building, where she sat comfortably on her extra pillows on a shadowy bench and admired the toddlers, and me for Lidl for the next part of the shopping. By then it was 29°C already.
Getting home, we let down all the blinds and had the usual late brunch... after which we decided to skip the midday meal and only had coffee, ice cream, compote and a sandwich around 4pm. Before which we both had two separate short naps, interrupted by crap telly.
Nothing else got done today. Mum was - still is - watching the UEFA 2024, I read some fanfic and played Solitaire on Methuselah-the-laptop. Then I talked to Heidi on the phone and am now slowly returning to life since temperatures have dropped a few (very few) degrees.
