Back to routine

The fridge was empty, so I went to the supermarkets today. Bought rather more than originally planned, so I only made two rounds. Auchan and the pharmacy just will have to wait. Various food items were reduced in price, so I've stocked up on them. Well, as far as our limited storage space allowed it.

I had to cook today, after all, as I had bought mushrooms and they go bad so quickly. So, tomorrow (and the day after) we'll have a dish of chicken breast stripes and mushrooms in a sauce, with pasta. Tomorrow I'll also have to dismantle and pre-cook the broccoli I've bought. Some of it will go into the freezer, in small portions, and I'll also cook broccoli cream soup tomorrow.

Have I mentioned before that I actually don't like cooking?

As for other, non-slavish activities, I've worked a bit on the songbook. Not as much as I had originally planned (which had been little enough to begin with), but at least some progress has been made. Tomorrow is another day.

I also talked on the phone to Evie and Eenie, respectively. It appears that choir practice will restart on Tuesday. In which case I'll take the leftover Christmas cookies with me and feed them to my choir-mates. *g*
