A day in the smial
Nov. 8th, 2023 07:10 pmToday was blessedly quiet, albeit filled with small tasks. Those were as listed below:
- washing my hair;
- covering all 27 newly acquired empty toilet rolls with reused Christmas paper and folding and filling quite a few, until I run out of candy;
- making a handful of beads for the next tinfoil garland;
- making stuffed chicken for lunch;
- writing a list for the Christmas baking - it isn't quite finalized yet, but at least I now have an idea what I'll be baking.
Not much, I know, but in-between the normal daily chores, they ate my whole day. Then I talked to my friend and (ex-)colleague, Ilike, on the phone, planning out what we'll make with the emptied mini jam jars* (the actual jam had long expired and had to be thrown out) and what we'll give our choir-mates as a joint gift.
(*) I'll was and disinfect the little jars thoroughly and will refill them with the not-quite-grapefruit jam. Then we'll sell them on the fair.
