Breathing again
Aug. 30th, 2023 08:10 pmIt seems that the heat wave has indeed broken, at least temporarily, which is a relief. It means I'll be able to use an actual blanket today instead of the threadbare beech towel I was using during the last two weeks or so. Phew! I hope it will last for a few days, so that we can recuperate a bit.
I had a fairly busy day again. Starting with going to Telekom's customer service to renew my contract, because the old one had finally run our after 15 or so years. They simply stopped offering that package. I chose the absolute minimum, since I basically keep my mobile so that other people can reach me, should I not be at home (which is rare enough in these days), otherwise we both use he landline. Under these circumstances I wouldn't really need mobile internet, now would I? *g*
On my way home I did some more shopping (including a visit to the Lindt shop, haha!), and then I finished the three mini pillow cases (around 17cm by 12cm each) I started yesterday. Take that, Louise! I did it without you! So, that's another project out of my hair. Next up: some more finger puppets for the second songbook.
By then I was fairly drained, so we ate the leftover Panang fried chicken with Tütensuppe that Mum volunteered to make, and then I collapsed in front of the telly and later with my geriatric laptop to play some solitaire.
Some more telly and a long, lovely phone chat with my friend Evie later it is evening already. And the middle of the week. I can't stop being baffled how swiftly time flies by.
