Mutant hibrid Easter bunnies
Apr. 1st, 2023 05:55 pmSo, I've baked the last batch of Easter biscuits today: bunny heads of a dough made with quark and oil instead of butter/margarine. They turned out very yummy, but they became much more chubby than expected, even though I used less baking powder than the recipe asked for. Especially the noses swelled in a rather bizarre way; mostly because in all my really extensive cookie cutter collection there wasn't a heart-shaped cutter that would have been small enough for this particular purpose. As a result, the poor bunnies look as if their mother would have had an illicit affair with a pig.
See for yourself:

Still, they are funny and cute, so I don't really mind. At least now I have a new goal: find a really small, heart-shaped cookie cutter before next Easter!
Other than that, we had laundry day, I cooked lunch and emptied the dratted vacuum cleaner for next Monday's cleaning frenzy. I even wrote three lines of dialogue, so I think that's enough for a single day.
