The best-laid plans

... of meeces and men, as the crafting crowd at get_knitted would say, often go awry. As some of you might remember, I was planning a hunting day today. Which usually means that I get up at (for me) ungodly 6am to be at Aldi or Lidl when they open, so that I can actually get the stuff that is on sale.

Still, I managed to work a bit on the quiet book page, too. The gift boxes are now finished, equipped with ribbons and bows and a decorative bead each, plus the Christmas-themed stickers inside. They can also be removed and rearranged (yay, Velcro work), and all in all look really good. The page is nearly done, I just have to sew on the Velcro for the bell and the gingerbread man that will serve as additional decoration, but that will be done tomorrow. My fingertips were seriously protesting. *g*

I also cooked lunch and talked to my friend Erna on the phone. All in all, another good day. Now if I only could get my iPad mini back - or a new one, if nothing else helps - so that I can finally take some photos!
