Ten handsome dudes
Aug. 17th, 2022 05:47 pmAKA, my penguins, preparing for their Christmas party:

I'm very happy with the way they turned out. Now I've made altogether 50 Christmas felts so far, although there might be a few more penguins yet, as I've produced more black felt rests while cutting out parts for another project, and I don't want to waste them. However, next will come the creches, and then... we'll see.
Other than that, it was a quiet day. In the morning we went for a short walk, for Mum hadn't been out of the house for half a week or so, and in the morning it isn't so ungodly hot yet. I still didn't have to cook - long live the leftovers! - so I spent half the day in front of the telly, stitching. Then H. called (Little Emma's grandmother); she's currently visiting her sister in Germany, whom she hadn't seen for 4 years - I'm truly happy for her!
The rest of the day will be a pure survival act. At least in the evening we'll be able to open the windows again. Right now it would be suicidal, with the temperatures outside. I'm actually glad we never invested into an a/c; we wouldn't be able to afford now, with the drastically raised energy prices, and it would be hell to learn going without again.
