Some me-time, at last!
Nov. 5th, 2021 06:00 pmThe only activity scheduled for today was to make some more popsicle snowflakes. Guess what haven't I done today? Bingo: popsicle snowflakes!
Instead, I made a felt satchel bag for toddlers, based on this video - only that mine is a grossly simplified version. Or rather mines are - because we've got two 2-year-old girls in the family (Little Emma and her cousin Milena) with only two months age difference or so between them, and they always want to have what the other one has. So I'm about to make two completely identical bags (or as identical as my total incapability in the area of measures and straight lines allows); hopefully, this way they won't be any fight over them. The first one is completed, the second one is half-done, so I consider this day a success. There will be a picture when both are done.
Other than that, I've finished the 1999-2000 time slot of the "Pathways" timeline. We ate all the leftovers from yesterday, so I had enough time to do things I actually like doing.
My friend Elise called in the morning, telling me that she's ordered the 40 eggs for the big baking frenzy. She insisted on contributing at least financially, although I never asked for it. She also insisted on buying the small mountain of margarine I'm about to use up for the (currently planned) 40 different sorts of cookies. She didn't have to do it, as I bake the things as a gift for friends and family, but it's very thoughtful of her, I find.
