A pleasant surprise

Sometimes it's the small things that can make one's day. On my food run today I also dropped in to the newsagent where I usually buy my German crossword puzzle booklets and television programme magazines. They couldn't get the latter for almost a year. I always asked, just to make sure not to miss a sudden influx of useful goodies, and lo and behold! - after a year or so, today I got my beloved "Nur TV": a wonderful magazine without ads but with lots of additional crossword puzzles. I'm deliriously happy! I interpret it as a sign that some semblance of normalcy is creeping back into our lives.

Other than that I did the weekly laundry, made another food run - these things are so heavy, I can't drag them home at once -, washed up multiple times, helped Mum with her exercises and talked to 3 different people on the phone. Oh, and we watched some re-runs of the GBBO while eating lunch. So, it was a day full of accomplishments.
