Unexpected
Feb. 9th, 2021 07:01 pmI got a call from the hospital today. Apparently, they're going to release Mum at some point during this week. I'll be alerted about the exact time.
On the one hand, it is great. I'll be able to watch over her, see how she's doing, feed her up a little and generally take care of her. On the other hand, I'm incredibly nervous. It's a big responsibility. When Grandma was bed-ridden for half a year, at least there were two of us for the job; and we both were 25 years younger.
Sure, Mum can at least stand up and walk a couple of steps already. And there will be a physiotherapist coming in regular intervals, supposedly. Still, I hope I'll be up to the job and to helping Mum in her recovery.
