Well, not the food-hunting part, obviously, as it requires an early start. *g*

But I got a call in the afternoon from Elise (the future recipient of Baby Book #3), who gave me a detailed report about the already existing two granddaughters' reaction to the Doll House quiet book. Apparently, it was a raging success. The girls couldn't get enough of it, all features have been tested, and they agreed that this is a special toy that will remain at their grandmother's. That way it wouldn't be swept under all the other toys, and it will always be a special even to play with it. I must say, I'm quite pleased.

Then Evie has actually managed to come for a visit. It was such a wonderful experience to meet her in the person - we only had phone contact for the last three months! We were very disciplined, keeping proper distance and talking to each other from 3.2 metres away, but it was the most... personal encounter I've had since the dratted virus arrived.

She also brought us a large heap of cherries, fresh from the cherry tree in her own garden. I foresee cherry soup and cherry pie for the next couple of days. ;)) Mum gave her a package of beautiful paper serviettes as a thank-you gift, and she chose two of my patchwork cards to take home with her, one for herself and one for her eldest son because, as she said, that particular card was "just him".
