I'm sure you've already realized that I'm a bit addicted to pretty craft paper. One of my ex-collegues - a scrapbooking person of near-professional level - calls it paper love. It is a somewhat costly addiction, but it gives one great delight.

So I went to the Savoy Park shopping centre today and finally found the tiny little craft and gift shop open. Which was important, as I was about to run out of broad double-sided tape, and one can't get it in the Auchan supermarket. They've got a so-called "creative aisle", but the offer of items is fairly random and rarely what I'd personally need.

Except of scrapbook paper, that is. They keep a small selection of Stamperia papers, and while they usually aren't what I'm specifically looking for, they are always pretty. And expensive. But hard to resist. So I bought four pieces today, only one of which will be directly usable for my baby books. The rest is simply beautiful. One has a lavender theme, another one a vintage theme and the third one is like Japanese silk paintings, just on paper. They are simply amazing, and I decided that I deserve a gift for having put up with the whole situation as well as with the back pain (which is still there, FYI and will probably remain for another three or four weeks, based on experience). So I bought them, together with the one for the baby book (with a pattern of little blue hearts), and Mum was in complete agreement. *g*

Other than that, I worked a bit on the first baby book, baked financiers (there were leftover egg whites again) and routinely fell asleep in front of the telly. I'll try to do some typing up now; there's so little left of the translation that needs to be transcribed, but the closer I get to the end, the harder is to force myself to work on it. *sigh*
