wiseheart: (Miss Marple)
Not a very productive day today, either concerning writing or crafting. We had extra practice with the Oldies, after which Mum and I planned a family outing.

Of course, we didn't leave when I originally wanted (somehow we never manage), so I spent about an hour with tearing up old flyers and stuff from trips we made back when we still went further than Austria. Actually, I was looking for a book of sheet music (found it eventually) and stumbled over these things that had been gathering dust in the book cabinet for at least eight years or so. Now I have a full waste paper basket (note to self: I need to take it to the selective container tomorrow) and a mild back-ache.

We went to the Allee shopping centre because Mum wanted to visit the new Lindt chocolate shop there. It is fantastic... and quite shockingly expensive, of course. However, the shopping centre is having its so-called coupon days, which means you can ask for coupons at the entrance, and in the participating shops you get everything 20% cheaper. We didn't know it in advance but were deliriously happy to learn about it. So we asked for a coupon, each, and bought our mutual Easter gifts right away, since these days only last until Sunday and it's doubtful that we'd get there again until then.

After that, we felt so good about the whole thing that we had lunch in the nearby market hall, so we didn't have to cook today, which is always a good thing, especially as it spares us the washing up as well. So, all in all, it was a success, even though the slow shuffling around with Mum always makes me so tired that I'm completely useless for the rest of the day. The afternoon is usually wasted with falling asleep in front of the telly.

That's exactly what happened today again, and I was a bit annoyed with myself, but I'll have to accept that this is the way of things now.
