Party report

I'm relieved to report that the party turned out unexpectedly well. Six of the ten people I'd invited turned up, the 7th one is coming tomorrow, and of the other three I knew in advance that they wouldn't be able to make it. So, all in all, I'm content.

The food was a great success, Mum's salad de boeuf was gone in no time and so were most of the cheesy buns and half of each cake. I could barely put away a bit of everything for tomorrow's guest.

We had lots of fun, I got updated about the newest school gossip, and the girls admired my craft projects. I decided that I might throw another party next year, after all.
