A creative morning

lindahoyland. Well, almost. I'm still trying to figure out how to fasten the manger with the baby Jesus in the middle. But the box itself - it is a single-layered one - turned out spectacular, if I say so myself. It has arched Oriental widows on the outside and 4 angels holding gilded little bells in the inside. There'll be photos tomorrow, I promise.
Tomorrow I'll have to make the lid with the somewhat complicated eight-pointed double star on top; that will take another whole morning, I'm afraid. But the good thing in being almost retired is that I can take my time and not worry about not finishing things.
Other than that, I didn't do much today. I think I'll have to start getting my telly addiction under control... watching crap telly simply eats up too much time, even though it's very good for my German vocabulary. The excuse usually is that I have to watch all the stuff I can't get during school time due to my stupid working schedule, but I sometimes ask myself: do I really need to watch all this stuff?
It is very warm again. We had heavy rain around 5 o'clock (thankfully, no leakage on the balcony), but it wasn't effective in cooling down the weather. The only difference is that it's now moist and warm. Although, if the distant thunder is any indication, we might have another go at the rain front.
At least we didn't have to cook today. Ate up all the leftovers from the fridge, which means that tomorrow I'll have to go to the supermarket and tank up on food for he weekend.
