A delightful day
Dec. 14th, 2014 07:37 pmSo, we had our mini-concert of 20 minutes in the entrance hall of the Gellért Baths today. It was very nice, and the environment is simply amazing, all those Zsolnay ceramic tiles and stained glass windows and Art Nouveau decoration and stuff.
Then we were invited to use the facilities and it was amazing. They had thermal basins with water 30, 35, 36 and 40°C, a chamber filled with chamomile damp, 45°C hot, a sauna that had three chambers, each gradually hotter than the one before, cold-water basins to the damp chambers and the sauna and, of course, the obligatory swimming pools. I enjoyed it greatly, and we had lots of fun.
It put me in such a good mood that I decided to bake a cake in the afternoon. It turned out a DD - delicious but disastrous. It looks like a Word War 2 battlefield after a particularly brutal bombing, but it tastes like heaven. Well, better than the other way round, right?
One more week until Christmas break. Yay!
