Chapter 10 - Back to the Fold of "Slaaping Dragons 04 - Atonement" has been posted to [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib and to FF.Net.

Chapter 08 - The Consulting Detective of "The Adventures of a Consulting Time Lord" has been posted to FF.Net. I'm simultaneously posting that story to my InvisionFree discussion borad, very cretively also called "Otherworlds", and to ona of my Yahoo Groups, where usually my original fic, vampire fanfic and fantasy stuff is; also the Queer As Folk crossover.

Part 14 - Epilogue to "The Prisoner of Dol Guldur" has been posted to FF.Net. With that, the complete story now can be read in that archive, too (it has ben up for some years on SoA and TFF).

My dear friends,

Despite LJ's attempt to destroy our fun, the reconstructed birthday party was a great success. In two entries, we had a total of 1365 comments on 10 pages, and I still have some lost threads to repost. My heartfelt thanks to all who came and participated in the discussions; I think I can speak for us all when I say that it was a wonderful experience.

In general, I had a great birthday. Aside from the Party - the best of my life so far - I also got various shinies: the New Bed (TM), which I gifted upon myself (although Mum paid the delivery), some nice long-sleeved T-shirts from Mum, an imprompty birthday party with home-made muffins from my 7th-grade-students, the wonderful book "The Art of The Hobbit" from [livejournal.com profile] the_wild_iris, together with a beutiful card and a most charming electronic birthday card from [livejournal.com profile] lindahoyland.

Work on my actual birthday was low-scale (only 2 lessons), so Mum and I could visit the grandparents who now rest in a nearby churchyard (the grand achievement of the summer) and then eat out in a nice restaurant.

If more birthdays turn out like this one, I won't mind getting older. ;))

I was updating my InsaneJournal entry (=the newest chapter of "Atonement), when - among the adverts - I found a link to this short article.

I found it highly amusing, and I believe the author is right. We like what we like, and if men are allowed to like lesbian pr0n, why should women have to explain themselves and find deep reasons for liking guy-on-guy action?

And, more importantly, as the OP says: the part that counts is the story and the characterization, not the nature of the pairing included. If it's badly written, I won't care to read it after the first chapter. That's why I've got a problem with most of the Sherlock slash out there.
