Due to "The Faulty Tape Story", I was forced to view the EE three times, so far (although in the fast-forward version, most of it - I just can't bear Frodo/Elijah Wood's eyes roll upwards one more time). Below follows an eclectic list of my impressions. As I only saw the movie version once, and that was more than a year ago, I don't really remember which ones were the new scenes, so bear with me.

So, that's for starters. If I can think of anything else, I might continue. In fact, I'm planning to write some detailed reviews to all three movies (the EEs, of course), somewhen in the next century.

I've just finished Little Women by Louisa B. Allcott. It's not usually the stuff I read, but I remember reading a 60-year-old Hungarian translation of Good Wives, and I was interested in the prequel. Plus I wanted to know how they sound in original. So I bought both volumes in the Penguin Popular Classics edition.

I'm of two minds about it. On the one side, it's interesting to read something so different in topic and style than my usual choices. On the other hand, it's almost annoyingly chirpy, and all the preaching gets on my nerves. I know, it was a different time and a very particular slide of social life, but still...

I still haven't finished Tales from Earthsea. As quickly as I went through the other five volumes, this one just can't keep my interest. I wish I knew why.

Ah, well, I think I'm going to read some Andromeda or B5 pr0n to relax a little. Reading ridiculous pairings like Marcus/Neroon or Tyr/Harper are always great fun, especially if Mpreg is involved. I admit to like Mpreg. The worse it is, the more I like it. It's one of my secret vices.

I also like ridiculous pairings. Especially when I don't really care for one part of the couple. I admit to loathe Marcus Cole, although after I've read tons of hilarious slash featuring him, I've actually grown fond of him. The same thing happened to me with Tom Paris. I never liked the guy - until I read through several hundred pages of Chakotay/Paris slash.

Yeah, I'm weird. What's new?
