... none of which is terribly interesting.

Well, one more day left from Easter holidays, at least for me. Mum has to go to work tomorrow already. To be perfectly honest, I'll be enjoying to have that last day for me alone. *looks ashamed*

Posted some more McKay chapters to both Wraithbait and FF.Net. Someone had some mild problems with the concept of Rodney having various sorts of relationships with various people, but they were nice enough about it. Answered them on PM. At least no homophobic rant this time. Yet.

Speaking of which, I decided to remove the Big Homophonic Rant From Hell(TM) from my review board. I know, some people wouldn't agree, but I don't see why I should put up with that sort of abuse. Me, "sullying the Star Trek universe", haha! Some people still don't seem to know that Kirk/Spock was originally initiated by the Great Bird of the Galaxy himself. Well, sort of... mildly...

Anyway, I didn't want the rant about one story on the review board of the other story, and I didn't want to start a review war with said homophobe, either, so I didn't answer them. Thank God the review was anonymous. Although I might take a look whether they have an FF.Net account and block them from making signed reviews that cannot be removed.

I'm so tired of having a knot in my stomach whenever I open an FF.Net automated mail to see what sort of feedback I got. There was a time when I looked forward to reviews. Now I almost fear them. And that's a sad thing. Not to mention harmful for creative inspiration.

I'll rant about the unfairness of some shipper or smut writers getting dozens of gushing reviews for each chapter that's almost exactly the same as all the other ones in another time. *g*

The flood has moved to Bulgaria and Romania, poor people. The Danube entered the fields kilometers deep in Romania, despite the controlled floodings they had done in advance. The water levels haven't been this high in decades, and the dams are breaking all over the country.

This week will be hard. In exchange for having an additional day to the holidays, we'll have to work on Saturday, which sucks. Especially as the annual class trips are scheduled for that day, meaning that we'll be with the kids the whole day, instead of four or five or six hours. Oh, joy!

I didn't go to yoga again, after all. The first session almost dislocated my right shoulder, and it hurt for weeks afterwards. Too bad, I actually liked most of the exercises, plus it was free. I might have to return to the fitness studio, after all, like it or not.

The second round of the elections will be on Sunday. Nothing is certain yet, so we're a bit anxious. Will be a turbulent Sunday anyway, as it's the day when we have our Easter concert as well. I got to sing the contralto solo in two pieces, but not alone. I'm a bit disappointed, but not overly so. Some pieces have beautifully deep parts, even I have to make effort to get certain tones out, but it'll go, hopefully. Will have to take good care of my throat in the next couple of days.

Enjoy your day alone - you've more than earned it, and you having it free didn't cause your Mum not to have it free, so no guilt allowed!

Oh no: it's school trip time again already? Double what I said about having earned the extra day!

Hurrah for dropping the lame review. Life is too short to have to look at something so annoying over and over again.

The news about rivers isn't much better along the Red River in the north-central US and over the border in Canada, except fewer people live in those areas. They were hit hard a few years back (mid-90s, IIRC), and now again. I hope folks in your city (cities) are beginning to recover as the water recedes?

As to elections: good luck!

I wish I could come hear you sing. It would be lovely! I just heard Bach's St. John's Passion last week (a friend was singing in the choir), and the alto soloist made me think of you and wish I could hear you singing it instead. Trinity Church in Copley Square is gorgeous and has a lovely sound for voices and period instruments. Someday...

Well, I hope we'll make a record some day, then I'll send you a copy. :)
