I took a short peak at OBAFU - the Buffy and Angel version of OFUM (yes, the vampire thing makes me do this), and some people were sentenced to a BritSpeak course there. That made me realize that I'll never be able to write SpikeSpeak correctly. I'm challenged enough with normal schoolbook English as it is. Consequently, poor British vampire will continue to speak just like all other characters. It'll be a little OOC for him, but still better than a doomed attempt to copy a speech pattern I can't truly reproduce.

If they'd allow me to enroll a BritSpeak course at OBAFU?

There are actually some beta-readers called, 'Britpickers'. They look at a fic, and point out all that is not/should be British for the author, and make suggestions.

Why don't you get someone familiar with BritSpeak to help you out? Someone British perhaps. :)

Of course, dialogue shouldn't been to much of a problem- as long as it somewhat resembles what the character might say, your readers will not be bothered. :)
