Not enough time, never enough time!
Innocence is up to 12 parts in the TFF archive. Hand coding is a bitch, and it kills my eyes, but I'm still content. Maybe one day even the readers will arrive...
This is the "week of open doors" at school. Which means the parents can come in and visit a few selected lessons. *is panicking* I'll have three such lessons in two days. Plus the headmistress of the school will visit two more of my lessons in the followign two weeks. She is going to visit all the other colleagues, too, but that's no comfort. *is panicking again*
But the teachers' choir, founded in late August, is doing well. We're going to have a concert in the St. Gellért Parish Church on December 18. Have learned a bunch of beautiful Christmas pieces, various styles, all really hard to get right, but completely amazing when they get together. *bounces excitedly*
Alas, that the dratted sopranos get all the melody parts. Singing contralto isn't easy work. But I'm still happy with the whole thing. I've missed singing badly.
Also, I've just found the perfect wedding present for
lhun_dweller I hope you've got a working cassette recorder, my friend. If not, tell me, and I'll try to have someone burn the whole thing onto CD, but in that case, I can't tell when it will arrive.
My Windows is dying on me. Freezes my PC at least three time every time I turn it on. Oh, and my printer is dead, too.
dolamrothdame is right: I've got the worst "techno luck" possible. But once these open lessons are over, I'll be a happy camper anyway.

The choir concert sounds wonderful! I wish I could be there to hear it. I agree it can be challenging to not be a soprano if you want to sing the melody. I'm a female with a voice that falls primarily in the tenor range (can't make the bottom couple notes, but can't sing the upper part of the alto range), so in a proper chorus, I probably wouldn't be allowed to sing at all!
We gets presentsesss???!!! Yesssssssssssss... We hassss a cassssssette recorder. We usessss it when we practicessss our Magyar. (Well, we did... but we haven't practiced very much at all so far.) I can't wait to hear what you've sent!
Your freezing PC problems may not be Windows, although it might be worth reinstalling a clean version, in case other programs or a virus (or stupid Microsoft upgrades...) have corrupted important files. Such a problem could also make it impossible to print. The Beloved has been having some similar problems, plus he can't send e-mail out directly, only via a webmail account, so he is about to face the chore of reinstallation. Ick. Good luck!

Date: 2005-11-14 08:28 pm (UTC)Oh, and I sing tenor sometimes, too. Considering the fact that the choir has one - and I mean one - male member, it's necessary sometimes. :)
