Apr. 26th, 2003 06:52 pmYay! Another generous reader to toss a bone to the poor, starving muse! So, "Elvenhome" has been updated.

Which means, the muse *might* come out of strike (I haven't made any headway with that story all week) and I *might* finish this particular tale before the next Age. *g*

Date: 2003-04-26 07:42 pm (UTC)Needless to say, I was hoping against hope for an update when I checked the story this morning (the first thing I did when I woke up!). I was very pleased to see that you updated. I do hope your muse stops being stubborn, I am greatly enjoying 'Elvenhome'. :)

Date: 2003-04-27 01:22 am (UTC)It's not easy for me to win new readers because all my stories are interconnected (well, save the horrible Mary Sue parody, of course), and few people feel the motivation to check the whole ting.
As for the question in your review, I'll always announce updates in this LJ, to all my stories (not just those in the Tolkienverse). I think this is the easiest thing to do.
I'm a lazy old lady, yes.

Date: 2003-04-27 01:51 am (UTC)I haven't read your other stories, though I have been meaning to do so once my exams are over. I'm just not sure where to start (I'm a bit dense). However, the premise of 'Innocence' has intrigued me for a while now. Would I still understand what is going on if I started with that?
Mary Sue parody? Nemis mentioned it a while back, if I'm not wrong. I think I will go check it out... (so much for doing homework... :p)
Since you are going announce updates in your LJ, would you mind if I added you to my friends list?

Date: 2003-04-27 03:54 am (UTC)It's is easier to find out about updates by placing your LJ on my friends list, which is really just a "friends and random mix of nice people whose journals are of at least remote interest to me" list. ;)

Date: 2003-04-27 12:12 pm (UTC)I'm glad you brought up the great courage to submerge into my own little pool of the Tolkienverse. I promise there's no Kraken hiding underwater. Just a word of warning: some of the older stories are up on my site in the first (= unbeta-ed) version, so you're probably better off to read my stuff on ff.net. That's where I update first, my site always comes second... or third... or fourth... *sighs* I'm sure you're getting the picture. Not to mention the handy opportunity to feed the muse. *grin, grin*

Date: 2003-04-29 06:37 am (UTC)*grin* I will check them out on FF.Net then. And review, of course, which is something that any responsible reader should do. Of course, if it feeds the muse... all the better! ;)
