All right, I must admit that I've only recorded this movie because of Márton Csókás (we Hungarians have to stick together, after all). Well, the major part of it; I ran out of videotape space before the actual ending.

Not that I'd have lost much. Quite frankly, I found the movie boring as hell and full of clichés. Every frigging Russian terrorist looks, behaves and speaks sxactly the same. What's worse, they were practically identical with every other boring and clichés Russian terrorist I've seen in German or American movies or TV-series in teh last ten years or so.

Granted, Vin Diesel's stunts were fun. But I didn't like his character well enough to bite my nails for his survival - on the contrary. Quite frankly, he was a very cheap and badly-made copy of Avery Brooks' excellent Hawk from the Spenser - for Hire series, just with spectacular special effects and without a trace of any real character.

I was very disappointed with Márton's Jory character, too. The man is a very talented actor, but they didn't give him a thing to work with. He was utterly wasted in this movie, and , frankly, he looked a lot better on the stands than in the movie itself. Yes, I know this is a shallow remark. And no, I'm not one of Márton's lusters - as a man, he's not my cup of tea. But there's not much more to say about this movie, honestly.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. "Pitch Back" is coming on German TV, soon, I'm curious what that one would be like...
