I have been working on the layout of the new website for the last three days. It made me realize how much I neglected about everything else in the creative area since I "got the Tolkien virus" as Finch said once.
I counted three major fandoms, not to mention a lot of original stuff in the fantasy area. I still intend to write all those stories, but now I'm afraid my whole life won't be enough for that.
Which brings up the interesting question of priorities. What is the right thing to do? Staying on the Tolkien path and getting depressed all the time about the lack of interest or abandoning Middle-earth (as if I could do *that*) and write my own stuff just for the joy of it?
Before I got access to the 'Net some two years ago, writing for myself was the natural thing to do. I'm not sure that I could return to that, however.

On a different matter, tomorrow I'll be going to a museum with 20 twelve-year-old kids. There goes Saturday morning. But we'll get May 2 free for it, so it's not such a bad bargain.

Well, I've written Tolkien fanfic some twenty years *before* the movies, and I'm sure I won't stop when they finally run out. On the contrary. When the squeeling fangirls find something else to obsess about (or a new lust object), we finally might have the fandom back for us.

I've begun to type up my (still unfinished) timeline to the vampire crossover universe. It is 49 hand-written pages long. And I'm still *way* beyond schedule with the translating of my Original Trek/Battlestar Galactica crossover. Life is just too short for the really good things in it.
