Relief

Mum's results arrived today vie e-mail and they are very good. Only in two places does he have slightly elevated results, and even those are mild. I mean, a 9 above the ideal zone of 6-8 doesn't sound tragic. Her GP didn't sound the alarm, either, so things are good.

I also survived the big window cleaning action. This new cleaning lady seems nice and thorough, I hope she'll stay with us. Of course, the real hard part was the moving around of the furniture again, which is always my job, but at least the windows are all clean and she even washed the kitchen cupboard, which is also above my reach.

Naturally, I was quite dead for the rest of the day. At least we still had leftovers, so I was spared the cooking.

She's only coming for cleaning the windows, doors, etc, where a ladder is needed. So the bulk of the slave labour is still mine; even at the times she comes, I'm the one who has to move furniture around. *sigh*

But yeah, I'm relieved that Mum's results are good. Now if she could only cease getting worked up over nothing we could have a peaceful life.
