So, so dead

God, I'm so tired! The district nurse came today at 6.30am to take samples for Mum's blood and labor test - she needed to be at the practice by 7am to take the blood of those who could walk there on their own feet. Consequently I was running on about 5 hours of sleep all day.

Since I was up anyway, I decided to do the shopping right after the nurse left. Aldi and the Auchan supermarket were on the programme today. I bought the basic necessities... and quite a lot of baking supplies, too. I'll have to make my baking list this week, so that I can start with the Christmas baking, soon. No rest for the wicked!

Mum also had a visit from the physiotherapist today, so we had to have lunch earlier than usual. At least I didn't have to cook - leftovers are a real blessing. As soon as the physiotherapist arrived I left for school; we had choir practice and I also transported some of my wares to school where Erna (our art teacher) puts them away in her classroom. I'll start taking there my jams on Thursday; they are heavy, so I'll have to make several runs.

Well, that was today, basically. My friend Eenie gave me a lift home from choir practice; she also collected me another dozen or so empty toilet rolls, so I'll have to make some more surprise boxes. Not a problem, they are made in about 30 seconds, and they're very popular among the kids.

Ouch! Six thirty in the morning! Which reminds me that I might have to get up early on Wednesday for the chimney guy!

Yep, I almost cried when the clock rang at 4.50. Definitely not a morning person…

That's great that the nurse makes house visits, but...ugh, too early!

I did wonder when your Christmas cookie baking would start. Sounds like its imminent. (Maybe you could make some bite size ones and put them in the surprise boxes.)

Way too early! I haven't got up at such an ungodly time since I left the convent.

Yeah, well, some things can't be helped.

That wouldn't be very hygienic as the boxes are basically folded toilet paper rolls. Only individually wrapped sweets can go into them.

That is a very fair point!
