Happy Birthday, dear [livejournal.com profile] adafrog! To quote the Ninth Doctor, I hope it was a fantastic one!

Here, have an assorted choice of virtual calories:

As for us, we had a quiet day again. I did the grocery shopping in the morning, then we continued the kitchen project (mostly involving Mum washing up rarely used things and me putting them back in their places), watched some telly and rested a bit in-between the various tasks.

The weather is still a bit cold, so I heated up some Zwiebelkuchen from the freezer to create a more pleasant temperature. Other than that, not much happened. Nothing on the creative front in any case. I don't mind, though. I had worked really hard on the little sewing kits; taking a break before I start decorating the actual boxes will do me good.

At the moment it's warmer outside my house than inside! I'm glad you got some more work done on the kitchen, using the dream team.

It's the same here. In the afternoon, I open the balcony door to let the warmth in. Alas, it never lasts.

It isn't so as if it would be hard work. I just can't do it in my own rhythm, and adjusting to someone a great deal more slow than I am is so frustrating. So much time is wasted without making any real progress! But Mum needs to feel useful, to feel that she's doing a great job, as that makes her time more worth in her own eyes.

Uh-oh, this kitchen project reminds me of the ones I did with my mother. Time consuming is the key word...
