Not how I planned

... today's baking session. I made two different sorts of biscuits, neither of which turned out the way I wanted them. I'll give them away nonetheless, and I'm sure the recipients will eat them eagerly - I'm just a bit disappointed.

Disappointed and tired. The baking lasted all morning, and there were three different phone calls during my hoped-for afternoon nap, waking me up every time I was just about to fall into deeper slumber. And that after a five-hour night!

I feel like sh*t, so I postponed the decoration of the misbegotten biscuits for tomorrow. Which is a bad idea, as tomorrow afternoon I'll go to school to paint my styrofoam eggs, so it will be another full day. But I just couldn't make myself doing it today. *sigh*

Life happens sometimes. Give yourself grace re the biscuits. Most folk don't care about the shape etc. as long as someone else is doing the baking.

I am pretty sure that I haven´t baken a single biscuit that looked like those in the photos! But they all got eaten. I am dead sure that the recipients of the cookies will love them, no matter the way they look like!
