It was lovely. In the morning, I worked quite a bit on the folding book for my friend Erica's granddaughter who'll turn two in may. It's a Hello Kitty! themed quiet book, with five pages, one of which is half-done now. I've sewn on the carpet of the bedroom, the window with the view behind it, the bed, the pillow and the bedcover. It was a lot of fussy work, but I'm quite pleased how things turned out.

We then watched a bit of telly, after which I managed to write almost an entire page. Granted, it is mostly rewritten canon dialogue in different settings, but it does move the plot along, so I'm well contend.

Mum volunteered to make the batter, after which I fried the Palatschinken (crepes), which we ate with home-made apricot jam. They were extremely yummy. After lunch we watched some more telly, and then I solved some crossword puzzles and we both took a nap. Waking up from that we had an early supper and now a bit of online browsing before "Salvage Hunters" would start.

The main reason why I like "Salvage Hunters" so much is because they show so many lovely places in the UK I'd never get to see with my own eyes otherwise. They even tell a bit about the history of each place, and it's great fun besides being educational. One is never too old to learn new things. ;))

I miss being able to travel in the UK. I could travel, but my back issues take the fun out of it, limiting me to half an hour at a time. I would love to revisit Edinburgh, Bath and Brighton.

That's a real shame. I had to give up those package holidays by coach because my legs couldn't bear the long bus trips anymore. Too bad, I really enjoyed everything being organized for us. I saw Bath and Brighton during those trips — for about an hour or so, each, which is woefully short, but at least gave us a glimpse.

There's a spin-off called "Salvage Hunters — The Restorers". It's very nice, too. A bit like "The Repair Shop", just without the personal stories behind the items.

That sounds like a really nice day — not exciting, just a lovely day — especially the Palatschinken with apricot jam :)

That's why I like a lot of those sorts of shows-you get to learn history, and see some really cool places.

Glad you had a good day! I'm viewing the world through the internet, too. So many lovely places I would like to visit, but watching videos will have to do.
