Good grief!

The insurance lady cancelled our appointment. Again. Just half an hour or so before she should have arrived. Again. Telling me that she's fallen ill (which I don't doubt, she's not the lying sort) took about 20 minutes on the phone. Again. If there's anyone who talks even more than our chiropodist, it's this lady. Now I feel as if my brain has been replaced with sticky cotton wool. Again.

In other things it was a successful day. Both Mum and I washed our hair - she looks very fluffy now, like a doll, someone even remarked on it while we were doing our daily walk on the corridor - I made a cheesecake in the morning, finished Lilly the baby elephant (pic's coming up when the other one is completed, too) and even did some transcribing while I waited for the lady that didn't come.

I really hope I can get this appointment with her behind me, soon. Then I'll have a year's worth of peace. Hopefully. *fingers crossed*

I thank God for online price comparison sites. Replacing mine, a few weeks ago, was so much easier than the previous rigmarole of ringing around various companies and getting an earful of sales pitch.

Oh dear. But at least there was cheesecake. (Charlotte, aka NYK2, was making cheesecake in her school cookery lesson this week. She decided to make a white chocolate and raspberry one, with fingers of white chocolate kit-kats around it like.. well, like a Charlotte! I am told it tasted very good but, sadly, none of it got as far as our house!)
