Cleaning was unpleasant as always and ate the entire morning, but by 1pm I was basically done with everything and could collapse. Especially as we still had leftovers, so no cooking was required. Yay!

Despite the workload, I managed to put in a bit of writing. Not much, but I did finish Chapter 2 of EMV III - Hunter, Prey, and even started Chapter 3. This story requires more effort to take shape, as I only have a vague idea what is supposed to happen, and have to figure things out as I do. Still, I'm cautiously content how it's gone so far.

I've also worked a bit on Lola, the very floral elephant. I'm considering giving her flower-shaped eyes, assuming I can find flower-shaped buttons in the right size and colour, which is always a pain. If I can't then she'll have the same round black eyes as the other three. That's pretty, too.

I was very nervous in the morning because AO3 was down to maintenance and I was worrying if the iPad mini will be able to connect after the archive comes back. The poor thing is unable to show that Cloudfire "verify that you are not a robot" thingy, and consequently I can no longer access the stories on FF.Net with it. Fortunately, AO3 came back and allowed the mini to connect, so it's good. On new iPad I can only read things with proper illumination, which isn't very helpful. Well, I'm sure it does have a night modus, I just haven't found it yet. It is so insanely complex; too smart for me, just like my phone. So I use the mini for nightly reading escapades (when I don't fall asleep after two sentences, that is), and I'm really glad that I still can connect to AO3 with it.

So, that was basically my day. Tomorrow there will be kitchen duty, as we've run out of leftovers after four days. But it's okay, since I've also planned some comfort baking that's long overdue. *g*

Thanks. Doing it alone is no fun, especially as it ruins two days instead of the one with help. But doing it all on the same day on my own, as I had to do in the last two times is just too much for me.

Yeah, thanks; unfortunately, in two weeks' time the whole ordeal starts again.

I only use my laptop for daily internet, but dread to think how I would cope if I lost all the bookmarks on my browser.

That would be a (not so) small disaster indeed!

Cleaning for me today ... I did less than I could have but ... I didn't feel like it at all!

I never feel like it. Especially considering that the effects won't last long. :(

There's a lot of maintenance going on on AO3 at the moment. And at the most inconvenient times...

True. I'm still pathetically grateful that everything came back as I'm used to it. I'm very bad at getting used to changes.

You've reminded me that I need to clean, at least vacuum the stairs and my bedroom. I've managed to keep up with the kitchen cleaning, although the floor needs mopping, but I can't find the mops I used at the old place. They still haven't been unpacked since we moved. I've been using a Swiffer but it doesn't do a thorough job. I am very frustrated. Kudos to you for getting so much done. You have inspired me.

Thanks, but really, I only do it because I absolutely have to. Our little (53 square metres, and that includes the balcony) flat is so overcrowded with way too large pieces of furniture that the dust gets everywhere and is really hard to get rid of.

I feel you. The dust is getting to me. I'm having sneezing fits every day. I have dusted the surfaces but still need to vacuum.
