Phew! I finally managed to update my Original Trek/Original Galactica story:

Thanks for the note. Yes, I am alive, but have very much drifted away from my computer life. It crashed in the fall, taking everything with it, and of course I had not backed up anything important, like my address book, or internet site listing, or my music. Lost it all.
Then went through two new hard drives and reloading of programs. Still don't have a few I used to have. That month and a half of frustration seemed to cure my of my internet surfing habit, and I just havent' gotten back to it. I'm sorry. I see by your past few entries that you've had a busy time this year. I hope that all is well. I hope you'll send me a private e-mail and I can write you back in more detail. Although it's as boring as ever here. I did receive your Christmas card, and was thrilled that you remembered me. Thanks. I did not send cards this year, and have been very bad about keeping in touch. However, I think of you often, and when the pope died, I wondered what you thought. He wasn't my favorite person, although I admired his staunchness. He was very misguided, though. Any way, please write back. I am pleased to see you're thinking of Boromir again. That means you're thinking of my favorite elf. yippee!
