No, really! I kid you not!

The thing is, I was working on the head of my cute little rag doll that was supposed to be a girl. Only that when I was done, I had the head of a cheeky little boy full of mischief in my hand. I had to change things due to a design mistake on my part and whoop! The doll has changed gender behind my back!

So, apparently, I'll have to make this boy doll first. It's not such a hardship, actually, as the design is very similar, only the clothes (that I haven't even cut out yet) are different. The only problem is: all intended recipients are little girls under the age of a year. One of them will have to make do with a boy doll, I'm afraid. But I don't think they'll mind as long as the dolls are soft and huggable, right?

Other than that, I hit the supermarkets today, fetched Mum's eye drops from the pharmacy and even did a tiny bit of writing. Due to a late and copious breakfast, we didn't even have lunch today, so no cooking was necessary, which is always a win. *g*

A boy doll sounds fun. I have never subscribed to the idea that all dolls should be girls or even that they should only be given to girls. I'm sure your recipient will be more than happy.

The problem is that I've promised a girl doll; a specific one, related to a certain song my friend likes to sing to her grandchildren. So I've decided to bite into the sour apple, as the Germans say and start another doll; I'll give the boy doll to someone else.
