... was, again, very pleasant. My friend Evie came over for a visit, and the three of us had a nice conversation about family, living conditions, food and other such mundane things. She showed pics and videos of her three grandchildren, the youngest of which is only six months old - that's the one to get the rag doll, assuming I'll ever get around to do it.

Speaking of the rag doll, I've made the pattern today. I could have downloaded it for free, but only if I had joined some obscure website. I decided against it. Perhaps I'm paranoid, but I don't like to download things I know nothing about onto my PC. Besides, the pattern is not that complicated. I draw it on checkered paper with the help of a ruler; and free-hand where the bent lines came. I've put together the paper parts, and the result looks promising. I hope it will work with the felt as well.

I cooked today: made a vegetable and luncheon meat dish, cooked in the oven and generously sprinkled with grated cheese, and a soup, using the boiling water of the vegetables. Mum liked it, and we'll have leftovers tomorrow, so it's double win.

After all this, there wasn't much time left for anything else. I've decided to take a hour-long nap, and now I'm browsing a bit online until The Great Christmas Bake-Off comes along. :)

Oh, and I forgot to mention: I actually got a few very nice reviews for EMV I! Something like that haven't happened for a very long time, so I consider it a Christmas gift. *g*

Definitely agree.

Yay nice reviews!

I was so delighted by those reviews! I mean, getting the one or other kudos is nice, too, but people who tell me that they like the story and why they like it are a thousand times better!

It's always nice to get reviews. I think a lot of folk pick up their fanfic reading at this time of year. Your Christmas sounds lovely this year. May the good days continue well into your New Year.

Yeah, I'm always wary about joining obscure websites as well!

Yeah, I mean you never know what you open your PC for. If they want to give the pattern away for free, why don't they do so to begin with?

I totally agree to the not- downloading thing- I have infected Ashmael more than once, and it's really hard to get rid of a virus without having to reinstall windows!

Which I wouldn't be able to do on my own, so precaution is an important thing.
