Just a quick post because I'm well and truly done in.

The fair was a great success. I haven't sold everything, but I sold a great deal and raised more money than last year - not by much, but more nonetheless - and gave away the rest to my (ex-)colleagues as gifts. The only items that didn't sell well were the embroidered cards, but that's okay: that way I can send out the prettiest ones to those who have asked for one, and the rest goes to my choir mates a gifts.

So, all is left is the concert on Saturday, and then I'll have no extra stuff to do before Christmas - blessing!

There will be pics of the fair eventually, and I'll link them to a future post, I promise.

Congratulations on your sales for the fair! Your holiday crafts are such treasures, and you put so much work into their design and making them, I'm glad it turned out so well. I am surprised the embroidered card didn't go over better; in my humble opinion they are just so lovely.

I hope all goes well with the concert! It's a beautiful holiday tradition and I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of singing in the choir. It brings a lot of joy and holiday cheer to others, and I hope people appreciate the gift the choir provides with that holiday concert.

So - hooray for this Sunday, when you will at last have extra time for yourself and Mum to enjoy the season together.

Wishing you peace and love for the holidays and the new year. Hopefully I will be back on LJ more after Christmas!

I think the problem with the cards is that I can’t present them well. I’d need a rotating structure like they have in the gift shops.

It was very gratifying indeed.

That's wonderful news! Time is ticking, things are getting done — and I hope you will have a nice rest before Christmas is here.

I had forgotten that the fair was this week. I'm so glad all your hard work paid off. A little extra cash in your pocket at this time of year will never go amiss. It's also very gratifying to know that your work is good enough for people to be willing to spend money on it.

Actually, all the money goes to charity — that is my way to contribute. But I had fun, and it was encouraging to see how much people liked my stuff. There was one lady who showed me a keyring she had brought from me last year an is still using. :))

I am trying to catch up — I am so glad you had a successful sale. How sad that the cards didn't sell as they are so beautiful, and unusual.

Glad the school had a good fair and you sold most of your wares — topped last year, again! Your table looked lovely! I recognise a lot of the items from your pictures. Especially, the little snowmen and the angels — they truly stood out.
