This was a fairly busy day, especially since I overslept - just by 15 minutes or so, but that was enough to upend my schedule. Therefore I had to reorganize the day in my head while doing my morning routine, which turned out to be a good thing in the end, as Mum was somewhat reluctant to get out of bed, so I couldn't have done the grocery shopping in the morning, even if I wanted.

In any case, I packed nearly all my wares (including the ones left over from last year) in huge shopping bags to take them to school with me. The fair is only on December 12, but I don't have a car and only God knows what kind of weather we're going to have next week. Today, it was nice and dry, and I had to go to choir practice anyway, so it seemed practical to me.

After the packing I made my short shopping tour; short but costly. After letting me look for it in wain for almost a month, Lidl suddenly broke out the baking liquor (a mild rum solution I love to use) and the small chocolate drops; and they had poppy seeds and grated coconut for a seriously reduced price. Which again means that I've bought two bottles of liquor and two boxes of chocolate drops, because they are so hard to get and rare like hens' teeth. I don't actually need all these things right now, as I'm still using up my already existing stash, but they'll keep in the freezer nicely and I can get them out whenever I need them. And the liquor can sit on the pantry shelf for years if unopened. So, it was an expensive but very useful trip.

That I also got Almdudler at Aldi was just an added bonus. Even though Almdudler was uneasonably expensive, too.

After the shopping trip I worked a bit on my next embroidered card, then took a short nap (all 20 minutes of it), let in the physiotherapist and left for choir practice with my huge bags of wares. I placed everything in the corner of the assistant director's office - and returned home with another huge shopping bag, containing wares my choir mates offered for the fair. So much about finally emptying my study/workroom. *g* At least my friend Eeine gave me a lift home, so it was easier that way.

And now to the frustrating part: I've tried repeatedly to renew my Professional package, with the help of two different (more technically inclined) people and using three different credit cards. The transaction failed each time, and my remaining tokens (a gift from the generous [livejournal.com profile] elwenlj years ago) aren't enough for just one month of paid time. I sent a request to LJ support and asked if there's a way to transfer the money via bank - I hope I'll get an answer before my package expires. And all this hassle for the equivalent of about 17 USD!!!

BTW, does anyone know how many icons are allowed for a free account? Just in case I can't deal with the problem in the next two days?

They'll probably extend your paid account again, that's what they did for others.

That would be very generous of them. *fingers crossed*

Fifteen icons, that's all I have now. It's annoying, I had to delete a lot of my favourites, but I manage.

That's not a lot indeed. :(

Especially since some of mine have to be Moderator icons for my writing communities. Leaves less spaces for the fandom ones. I can't even have a Christmas one here anymore because I don't have space for one.

At least I can still use my Christmas icons on Dreamwidth.

I deleted some of the icons I have on Dreamwidth; that way I still can use them there.

Yes, it's good that dreamwidth has a better icon allowance.

It does? Not the free account, though, I only am allowed 15 icons there.

Ah, yes, free accounts are no better than LJ, but my paid account allows me 150 icons, which is a lot more generous than LJ.

I can't figure out lj, so have not had a paid account in years. Seems it won't take my payment or says it has and nothing changes.

I have a free account without ads and room for 30 icons.

I only use one, I wish I could transfer the other 29 to someone who uses more.

That would be a blessing for some of us. How did you get the free account without ads and with 30 icons?

I don't know, that's the one I always used and I never switched.

Getting your wares to the venue early sounds like an excellent idea. Winter weather can be very unforgiving.

And paper craft items react badly to wet weather.

Absolutely. When I sold cards, outdoor venues were a big Nope for me. If they didn't get wet, they were in danger of blowing away.

At the moment I have 30 userpics. No clue where the additional 15 came from...
