The pics I've promised

First, the little pink angel that ended up looking like Marie Antoinette with butterfly wings. *g*



Then the two kinds of pencil holders: the ones that were sewn, using repurposed linen, felt flowers and jute stuff, and the ones that were glued, using felt, satin ribbon and little Christmas tree ornaments.



Otherwise it was a quiet day. We had leftovers, so no cooking was necessary. I did some writing, finished my inventory of baking ingredients, talked to my friend Evie on the phone and had a nice, long nap in the afternoon. "The Repair Shop" is back on telly, so we had a bit of fun, too.

Still, I wasn't as relaxed as I had been yesterday. That's the problem with Sundays: the foreseen stress of the upcoming week lies heavily on one's soul already. :/

Well, Vodafone promised some major recalibrating of the mediaboxes for next week, which usually means problems with the telly (Mum's only link to the outside world), we'll have additional choir practice due to the ongoing jubilee concert, I'll have to start the Christmas baking and will make tentative efforts to get an appointment for Mum for a control examination of the heart clinic, so yeah, I do consider these things a bit stressful.

I have four such pots on my own desk and I've sold/gave away as gifts quite a few in recent years. I prefer making things that actually have some practical use, too (hence the sewing kits and the likes), but the angels are the exception, of course.

I'm a great fan of making useful things out of repurposed material. Small-scale recycling and all that, plus it inspires my imagination, too. The weirdest thing I've made were these little pouches (https://hu.pinterest.com/pin/341640321750261834/), made of discarded shoulder pads. Since my shoulders are broad enough by nature, I always remove these pads, and I wanted to put them to good use, since they had such a nice pattern.
