For starters, I had to do a food run today because of a shortage of bread and its ilk. The plan is not to do another one until Thursday, but we'll see.

Then I've cobbled together a meal from two different sorts of leftovers: pulled turkey and Käsespätzle. I simply mixed the two in a pot, and the results were surprisingly good. Much better, actually, than the two separate dishes had been, and we love them both!

Crafting-wise I made another pencil holder; this time a small one, covered with foam sheet, which meant I didn't have to sew anything. I just glued on everything and was done in 30 minutes or so. That was a delight. I also pre-prickled the next Christmas card, which took me longer than the pencil holder altogether; it's a finicky pattern, and I never used the template before, so it wasn't prickled yet at all. But now it's good for future use, too.

On the writing front, a small but important step was done: I've finished a troublesome scene - well, the rough first draft of it - and started the next one. I'll have to return to said scene later, but for now I'm just going on with the story to finish it as soon as possible. Corrections/rewrites/whatever can be done later... unless I forget about it. At least no-one will be able to report me if I do, as it's my stuff and canon dialogue mixed together.

I've added two more items to my baking list, mostly because they ask for egg whites only, and I have a lot of recipes on that list that only require egg yolks. This way I won't have to throw out anything, and besides, I'm still far from my record. That was 44 different recipes; right now I'm "only" at 32. *g*

Yep, and I'm going to gripe and complain about it sometimes, but I'll still enjoy the madness very much.

Nobody likes Makronen here, so the leftover egg whites usually become scrambled eggs with a bit more white in them ...

We are not overly fond of them, either, so the majority of them will go to my "customers". You can't make so many scrambled eggs for just two people, one of whom only eats half-portions. I have to come up with creative ways for 14 egg whites!

If you have a lot of egg white left I suppose there's always meringue?

There will be meringue. But I'll have roughly 14 egg whites left, which is too much for meringue. Fortunately, there are another four or five recipes that require egg white only, so I hope to use them up creatively.

Good to see you are still doing well with your writing.
