... and not only because of the encroaching winter. It appears that the older I get, the shorter the days are becoming. Of course, doing everything in the house at Mum's speed might play a role in this, but still...

Anyway, I did some writing on three different occasions today (either not enough time to do it in one go or I get tired after a couple of pages) and managed to type up the rest of the last chapter of EMV Part I. It's gone to my lovely and generous beta and will be posted whenever she finds the time to take a look.

My poor little stitched angel is still waiting for her card to be done, but I was too lazy. Or too tired. Or too busy. Whatever. Tomorrow is another day.

I went on a short shopping tour (Lidl and Aldi only), watched some telly with Mum, took a nap in the afternoon, had a short phone call from Heidi, and that was it. Another day gone.

And now I'm left with the problem of deciding what to cook tomorrow. Grrr.

Let's hope it will last for a while. I really want to put this series together properly.

It seems to be a fact that the days run by when you get older ...

Especially if you have a 92-year-old to slow things down for you even more.

I can confirm that the days are definitely getting shorter for me. I have a friend who's only a couple of years older than me and still manages to cram more into a day than I manage in a week. I don't know where she gets the energy.

That is enviable. At my age Mum was like a Duracell bunny, too.

Oh absolutely! My grandmother used to say each year was shorter than the one before — and it is true of the days therein as well!

Days getting shorter (indeed, when taking daylight into consideration) and us getting older is a bad combination. I for one am out of order when electric light has to get turned on. It´s uually better in summer...

Not for us. We have to close all the blinds because of the harsh sunlight, and then have to turn on the electric lights. At least in this season we can use natural light for a while.
