Weather forecast promised it would go away by the afternoon. Well, guess what? It didn't! Naturally.

So I went on a shortened shopping tour - just to the Savoy Park shopping centre - in slowly falling rain. Fortunately, I could find everything I needed within the same building: the Auchan supermarket, the pharmacy, the post office, Kik, Pepco and Tedi. Too bad the newsagent has closed a couple of years ago; they had the best selection of German crossword puzzle books. Small ones - everywhere else they only have the huge ones that you can't even put into a handbag. Erm. Yes.

Anyway, I did the shopping, then came home, we ate a very late brunch and I turned my attention to the EMV series, planning out meticulously how many stories it was supposed to consist of, which canon episodes would be used (and twisted) until the end (well, almost), which profound changes I wanted to make to canon because I was unhappy with it. It looks good, actually. I just hope I'll have another 30 or so years to live to write all that stuff. *g*

Mentally exhausted from my gargantual effort to organize the storylines, I then slept for two hours or so, and now the day is over again. Too much to write, too little time - and too many household distractions - to do the actual writing. *sigh*

BTW, I've finished making the changes my beta had suggested. The whole story - all 4 chapters of it - can be read at [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib.

Congratulations on the writing. I found that planning a story can take as much time, or more, as writing it. It pays off in the end, though.

That's good when all the stores are in one place ...

Very practical indeed. Especially as it is a small shopping centre and the stores are easy to find. ;)

With the current weather I prefer to do shopping in shopping centres, even if all people there seem to either be sneezing or coughing. I do not want to get wet!

Same here. I also keep wearing a mask while inside said shopping centre — or in the tram heading there — because of people coughing and sneezing all the time.

Glad to see you are doing well in your writing :0)

A red letter day for me and my son! He passed the Louisiana Bar Examination and is officially an attorney. Well, he will be on October 24th when they have the swearing in ceremony. Four years of undergraduate studies in history, 3 years of law school, and three months of almost non-stop studying for that horrid 21 hour examination on nine different topics, which he was lucky to pass first try. Yay! His studies are now complete and he has a job with the Attorney General's office in the Consumer Protection department, which was dependent on his passing the bar. It was a rough week waiting for the listing to post today and a big sigh of relief and celebration that he made the cut.
