... is now finished. Here are all eight of them:

Admittedly, they are a bit lopsided, some of them cross-eyed, others have a saggy hat or crooked limbs, but I love them nonetheless. *g*

In other crafty news, I've cut out the bases for 6 more lavender sacks, since I still have the textile parts and the dried lavender flowers, so I can make one or two in-between. I'm trying to use up my craft supplies faster than I'm buying new ones, but it's a hopeless, uphill struggle. *g*

I also wrote a good chunk for the last chapter and have almost figured out how to end the whole thing. Actually, I've got two slightly different ideas and have to choose one. As the Germans say: Wer die Wahl hat, hat die Qual - sorry, I don't know the English equivalent.

No cooking as we had the food from yesterday we hadn't eaten. No pilgrimage to Teh Office, either, as it was raining like whoa in the morning and I don't have a boat. Tomorrow will be busy in the afternoon, so Wednesday is the tentative goal. Honestly, that little money isn't really worth the hassle, I spend more on food in a week, but Mum wants it so badly, so I'll give it a try. *sigh*

Thanks. :) Too bad they're not flat enough to fit into an envelope — will an embroidered Christmas card do instead?

What an interesting saying. And I love the gnomes!

Thank you. :)

A good saying, isn't it? That's what I absolutely love about the German language — they have such colourful expressions that can't be really well translated into other languages; certainly not so that they would rhyme, too. *g*

That money is yours, so they have no right to make it difficult for you to access it. I can understand your mum's attitude. That said, I can also understand your reluctance to go through all the hassle for a small amount.

The little gnomes are sweet, and I think any 'faults' just make them more so. It's what makes them clearly hand crafted.

I'm sick and tired about this stupid hassle! Hopefully I'll be able to get it settled by Wednesday. I only endured the whole thing by scheduling visits at the craft shops afterwards; that will be happening on Wednesday, too!

I so hope that the nightmarish rain will be history now!

Amen. Mum is anxiously following flood news and is very upset about our neighbour countries and how those poor people (like your family) fare. You are in our thoughts. *hugs*

I think not perfect is what makes them cute.

The gnomes turned out quite well. I especially love their tall hats.
