Just the list because I am really tired.

1) I've finished the stitching part of Card #13; not the card itself, but I have to figure out the best design yet.

2) Cousin's eldest called to tell me that he'll drop by on Thursday and help me with my phone/tablet/laptop and whatever gadgets present a challenge. Fingers crossed that he really does. He's a sweetheart but a distracted one. *g*

3) I had coffee with my friend Eenie. Iced coffee was good, the new café we tried out... rather generic and boring. It used to be in a small corner of a bookshop and it was really atmospheric back then, even though a bit crowded. We won't visit the new location again.

4) I had the time during the shopping tour in the morning to acquire some more craft supplies. I don't need them at the moment, but they were for an acceptable price, and one never knows when they might be useful. Besides, paper and yarn don't rot in a flat as dry as ours, fortunately.

5) I've just watched Sweden's golden boy, Armand Duplantis win the gold medal and set up a new world record in pole vaulting. It was GLORIOUS!

So, I'm ready for bed now. See you folks tomorrow (hopefully).

I hear you re generic cafe's. M and I have discovered that there are limited options within reasonable travel distance, if we want to have something other than a cup of instant coffee and a scone.

I'm lucky to live in a big city and have many options within reach. Many people hate big cities, but I live in a part of the capital that is really nice and quiet and has great infrastructure nonetheless.

Yes, it was fairly late. But we are retired and can afford to watch; we don't have to get up early.

The thing is, you never know when those particular craft supplies are exactly what you need. It would be terrible to know you had missed them.

I really enjoy watching Armand Duplantis winning his gold medal, too.

He is really one of his kind, isn't he? :)

And you are absolutely right re: craft supplies!

We've been waiting for this all the time. We are both passionate about athletics in general and pole vaulting in particular.

this is why I don't like Starbucks. I prefer cafes that have some character if you know what I mean.
