I can't wait for this frigging summer to end!

I wasn't made for this weather. Not even when I was still young, and now, having reached official hag age even less. I hate being this exhausted all the time, just because it's hot!

That said, I made the grocery shopping in the morning, then finished another embroidered card and started the 10th one - and then dropped dead and slept for an hour and a half.

Thank God I didn't have to cook today, we had leftovers and a Radler for lunch, after which we dropped dead again; not sleeping this time, just reading and playing Solitary on Methuselah-the-laptop who's still soldiering on faithfully. *fingers crossed*

Later, I had a phone chat with my friend Evie, and now it's evening again. We've watched two episodes of Richterin Barbara Salesh today, The Repair Shop and This Day in History, and are waiting for the GBBO's Masterclass to come later. Tried to watch the Olympics, but aside from the gymnasts there was nothing that we'd like. A shame, they've promised athletics for today. I haven't been so disappointed with the Olympic Games ever before.

Edit: I want to moderate that last sentence. We've just won our first gold medal: Hubert Kós in men's 200m backstroke. Yay!

I know what you mean! We’re showing signs of an early spring and I’m already dreading summer.
I’m so disappointed in our tv stations coverage of the Olympics.
I thought i would watch some equestrian events, and when I tried to watch the sports channel they were only showing events where Australians were participating. It seems the Australian viewers aren’t interested in equestrian events. Some of us just like horses, grumble.
I love the synergy between horse and rider in dressage, the way they’ve worked together to create their beautiful form. My sister (who is experienced in horse training and works with her own horse) tells me that when a horse is selected to train in dressage a number of factors are taken into account including the horse’s own interest and the ability of horse and rider to learn to communicate. That it is less about training a horse and more about horse and rider training each other.
My family grew up with horses, although I personally am more of a cat and dog person. My sister was the horse-mad one. Strangely, my brother isn’t fond of animals, although he did ride in his youth. We left the farm when I was quite young though, and I can barely ride. I guess that’s why it is the smaller animals that I form bonds with.
Anyway, all that long rambling to explain why I am grumbling about our parochial sports channel!!!

I'm just the oppostie, sorry to see the summer coming to an end, but here we have air conditioning which makes summer bearable. Without it, I would be just as miserable! Congratulations on Hungary's first gold medal in these olympics! Backstroke is an impressive swim stroke.
