Breathing again

Temperatures have dropped slightly, just a bit below 30°C around noon, which was a welcome change. I went for a food run in the morning and we had laundry day, but that was basically all the slave labour for the day. No cooking was necessary, thank leftovers, which is always a relief.

Instead, I actually managed to do some writing and worked on the last pot holder. The boring parts are done, now I'll have to do the quilting and the seaming, add the hanging, and then the project will be finished. Finally.

In the afternoon it got suddenly warm and stuffy, so we both took a nap. Then we watched the Great Canadian Bake-Off, and that was basically it.

Thirty is still hot, but I imagine after thirty-six etc. it would feel heavenly. Now you need a good thunder storm to clear the air a little.
