wiseheart | It is done once again!

Carpet cleaning madness is over. Most of the stuff has already been put back in place; I'll have to find room for Mum's books (that she never reads anymore) that used to be in a small cabinet on the balcony, since I repurposed said small cabinet as a mini kitchen cupboard. At least as long as I haven't managed to find a fitting real one. If it were up to me, I'd keep it in the kitchen but Mum has objections - don't ask me why. Granted, it is a piece of furniture originally meant for a bedroom or a living room, but it has been exiled to the leaky balcony for the last 40 years or so... But there are some arguments I just can't win and I save my energy for the more promising one.

For today's battle we had 36°C, and this time we couldn't even close the windows and lower the blinds since the carpets needed the heat and the sunshine to dry. We... not so much. But needs must. At least I didn't have to cook today. Cold Rösti and leftover salad did the trick, with a yogurt drink instead of soup and alcohol free mango Radler afterwards.
