Hot, hotter, hottest

... well, so far anyway. We peaked at 36°C but forecast promises even more for the next two days. So, more sitting in the darkened flat for us in order to survive. *sigh*

In the morning I made the obligatory food run as we've run out of ice-cream. *g*
I planned to go a great deal earlier but had been reading fanfic until 1am last night and just couldn't get up at 6am. Well, that should teach me a lesson. OTOH, temperatures were quite pleasant at 1am (22-23°C), and I enjoyed reading without a heat-stroke. Ah, well.

I didn't cook today at all. I've made cold fruit soup (mixing the instant powder with cold milk and putting it in the fridge to chill) and brought Flammkuchen from Aldi for lunch. I didn't even switched on the kitchen heart to make coffee, and that's a sure sign of apathy. We had coffee-flavoured ice cream instead; Lidl has a wonderful brand of it.

I had two short naps in the morning and early afternoon; even so, I barely got through the day. I did finish pot-holder #5, however, and wrote two measly sentences, just to keep up the picowrimo spirit. I even fell asleep in front of the telly a few times!

No social life in recent days. If I don't call people, they can't be arsed to initiate contact. It's nothing new but it pisses me off at irregular intervals.

33° here today but it hasn't been too bad as it hasn't been humid.
That's supposed to change tomorrow, though.

Considering the fact that we consume ungodly amounts of ice-cream instead of sensible food, it doesn't help with the slimming down process. :(

I went into Bangor in the rain today — around 17 C.

we went to a computer/mobile phone shop, then my friend drove to the bank while I drank coffee and read a novel. It was a lovely outing, but the rain fell steadily, and the traffic was appalling
